Favor250 is the quest for becoming thane of markarth. So i'm trying to buy the house in markarth, i've finished the jarl's shield quest. Ha, usually when i want a house there, i don't even read the note.

If it's not too far i'd suggest you reload from before that last quest and buy it. Purchasing property is one of the many things you can do in skyrim, giving you a place to store and showcase your exotic items. Then you have to speak to the jarl's second in command, fork over some gold, and then you will have a nice (relatively) new home.
